Artist Statement
My work explores the intersection of reality and imagination through the lens of landscape painting.
Each piece begins with a natural scene—a moment of beauty captured in the world around us.
But instead of replicating what I see, I reconstruct these landscapes through my own vision, transforming them into something both familiar and surreal.
By symmetrically mirroring these images, I create a new, balanced reality that challenges the viewer's perception.
This process allows me to explore the boundaries of the seen and the unseen, the known and the unknown, blending the organic with the abstract.
The purpose of these landscapes is not to recreate an image but to offer viewers a peaceful moment, much like gazing out a window at a serene scene, conveyed through muted tones.
My work reimagines the familiar, offering a new perspective on the landscapes that surround us.
