Artist Statement

My passion for art ignited during middle school, a journey I pursued in high school by dedicating two years to studying fine art. However, as I approached college, the rational side of my mind steered me towards Interior Architecture, followed by Marketing Communications in graduate school. Over the subsequent two decades, I cultivated a successful career in design and marketing, yet my love for art never waned. Upon relocating to the Bay Area in 2016, I resolved to rekindle my artistic roots, embarking on a path of online classes, tutorials, and in-person workshops.

What captivates me about art is its capacity to convey profound meanings beyond mere sight. Even the most mundane objects can be imbued with diverse interpretations through artistic expression. As an artist, I endeavor to seize fleeting moments and emotional connections that stir me when observing still life, landscapes, or figurative subjects. My chosen mediums—charcoal, graphite, or brush—and my unique perspective empower me to craft a distinctive outlook that seamlessly translates the beauty of nature and the simplicity of subjects into a symphony of form, light, and brushstrokes.
